  • This suggests that majorly all the colleges, colleges, universities, academic institutions, government and personal sector offices and stores remain open and fully functional. However, it can vary  from state to state or region to region.

  • On this holiday of Jamat Ul-Vida, the Muslims must attend the religious congregation in the morning, especially the boys.
  • However, the ladies have the choice of offering the prayer reception. In huge numbers, people gather at religious places like Mosques and recite the verses from the Holy Quran throughout the day.
  • The town of Hyderabad holds the biggest congregation in the country at the Mecca Masjid, known to be one of the largest Mosques in India. Annually, the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen organizes the “Quran Day Meeting” at this place.

  • People offer prayers and need for prosperity, peace and unity within the globe. At present, Muslims get up early in the morning, take a fresh bath and wear fresh clothes together with their skull caps.

  • The significance of Jamat Ul-Vida has been described by the good Prophet Muhammad himself.
  • He said that prayers offered on Friday are heard and seen to incur more blessings than other days as Fridays are considered to be auspicious and more blessed than the opposite days. Therefore, performing Namaz on Friday is heard and believed to carry a high significance.
