INTRODUCTION

Sandwich is a typical food that can be portable that consists of vegetables, cheese, meat, it is usually placed in between the slices of bread to give a unique taste. It is commonly eaten as breakfast in western countries.

ORIGIN

The name was originally adopted in the 18th century by John Mortago. The name was developed when he was gambling with his friends. He did not want to waste his time having lunch so he ordered his chef to fry the beef and toast it with 2 slices of bread, from that point there was a new recipe to try.

  • January 1st 1762- Invention of  sandwich
  • January 1st 1869- Plain sandwich
  • January 1st 1873- Crust less sandwich
  • January 1st 1920- Recipe of sandwich
  • January 1st 1923- Breadless plant substituted by eggplant
  • April 16th  1936- Tower of sandwich
  • January 1st 1975- Tunas on the sandwich
  • February 16th 2022- The history and recipes of sandwiches have come a long way

TYPES OF SANDWICH

CHICKEN SANDWICH-

Ingredients-  Chicken, Butter, Vegetables

Recipe-Butter is to be spread over the bread, Chicken is deeply fried and placed in between the bread with vegetables to give more taste into it.

EGG SANDWICH

Ingredients- Butter or cheese, Varieties of egg- omelette or boiled egg or deep fried egg

Recipe- First butter to spread over the bread, secondly egg is boiled or deep fried or turned into an omelette to be placed in between the slices of bread. This gives plenty of protein and it is a healthy breakfast.

SEAFOOD SANDWICH

Ingredients- Butter or cheese, Any seafood, lemon

Recipe-  Butter to be spread over the slice of bread then fish or any other seafood is fried to make it more crispy to eat and it is placed on top of the bread, lemon is squeezed over the top to make it tastier.

BEEF SANDWICH

Ingredients- Beef, Bread, Tomato, Butter

Recipe- Butter to be spread over the slice, beef to be deeply fried so that it becomes crispy to eat and placed over the bread, some amounts of tomato are cut and put into the sandwich so that it becomes tastier.

Ingredients- Cheese, vegetables, pepper

Recipe- It is grilled with cheese, vegetables and pepper. It gives a unique flavour and texture.

Recipe- meat, vegetables are fried to get a crispy flavour, cheese is placed over the bread and this type of bread is quite bigger than the usual size.

Recipe- Nutella is spread over the bread. It gives a unique taste of both dessert and sandwich.

CONCLUSION

Sandwiches have lived more than 4 decades but now we are so fond of them, no picnic is fulfilled without a sandwich. People always make new varieties and creations according to themself.
